About this collection

This collection consists of scanned images mostly of postcards and photographs (some of which are reprints and photocopies) taken in and around the town of El Dorado Springs in Cedar County, Missouri. Also included are a few documents, such as a flier for the Huff Brothers trapeze act. The photographs include images of El Dorado Springs citizens, buildings in and around the town, and the city’s Spring Park. The earliest photos were taken the same year the city was founded, in 1881.

The physical collection is owned by the City of El Dorado Springs, the El Dorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, and the Wayside Inn Museum and Preserve Our Past Society. The collection was scanned in its entirety, with metadata provided by the Missouri State Archives.
